Duties of a Tyre Fitter:
  • Accurately fitting, removing, and repairing tyres on a range of cars and light vehicles
  • Replacing and refitting vehicle components, ensuring correct adjustments
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, safely and efficiently
  • Identifying and reporting additional faults on customer vehicles
  • Providing excellent customer service at all times as a Tyre Fitter
  • Maintaining accurate job records in accordance with company procedures
  • Keeping work areas tidy and vehicles free from grease, dirt, or marks
  • Collaborating effectively within a busy workshop environment
  • Seeking guidance as necessary to uphold safety and quality standards
Requirements of a Tyre Fitter:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in tyre fitting or as a competent tyre technician
  • Previous automotive experience, ideally gained through employment or an apprenticeship
  • Full, clean UK driving licence held for at least 6 months
  • Automotive-related qualifications are advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently to deadlines without compromising quality
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to use initiative
  • Strong multitasking skills and sound decision-making in a fast-paced setting
  • Approachable, professional, and reliable personality
