Role OverviewAs a Test Automation Developer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of automated test solutions, helping to streamline our testing processes and accelerate delivery. This role is ideal for a proactive individual eager to apply their technical skills in a collaborative and fast-paced development environment, making a tangible impact on product excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts and scenarios.
- Implement and enhance test automation frameworks using industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with software developers and QA engineers to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Execute automated test suites and analyse results to identify potential defects.
- Identify, document, and track software defects and work with development teams for resolution.
- Participate in code reviews for test automation solutions to ensure quality and maintainability.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and existing functionalities.
- Demonstrable understanding of test automation principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used for test automation (e.g., Python, Java, C#, JavaScript).
- Experience with modern test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Solid grasp of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA processes.
- Ability to identify, analyse, and diagnose software defects effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and approaches.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Familiarity with API testing tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with performance or security testing concepts.
