UNIX / Linux Infrastructure Engineer

Type: Full-time

Required Background
  • 5-10+ years of experience in UNIX/Linux Infrastructure Engineering, System Administration or Platform Support.
  • Experience supporting business-critical production environments.
  • Proven background in infrastructure operations, incident, problem and change management.
  • Experience working within regulated enterprise environments, ideally banking, financial services, insurance or other highly controlled industries.
  • Strong understanding of operational controls, resilience, availability and platform security.
  • Exposure to datacentre operations, infrastructure lifecycle management and production support processes.
Technical Skills
  • Strong UNIX/Linux administration experience including RHEL, SLES and Solaris, with solid scripting capabilities using Bash/Korn Shell
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure automation, monitoring, performance optimisation, capacity management and operational support within enterprise environment
  • Good understanding of backup & recovery solutions, storage/SAN technologies and ITIL-based production support processes
  • Experience with Ansible or comparable automation tools is a nice-to-have
  • Exposure to high-availability and disaster recovery solutions
