Academics Rochester are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-supported primary school in Chatham that is looking to appoint an outstanding Unqualified Primary Teacher to join their team from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced unqualified teacher, HLTA or cover teacher who is ready to take the next step in their career. The role offers long-term stability from day one, with a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent position within the school.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school by delivering high-quality lessons across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, covering teachers during their PPA time.

This is far more than a cover role-you will become a valued member of the teaching team, delivering engaging lessons, maintaining high expectations in the classroom and ensuring pupils continue to make excellent progress.

The successful candidate must have / be:

  • Has recent experience teaching whole classes within a UK primary school.
  • Has a good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 National Curriculum.
  • Can confidently deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of year groups.
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
  • Has excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Is adaptable, organised and committed to providing high-quality learning experiences.
  • Holds relevant school-based experience (QTS is not essential).
