Prospero Teaching is recruiting confident and motivated Unqualified Teachers to work in schools across the Winchester area. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong classroom experience who are looking to take the next step in their education career and gain valuable teaching experience.
As an Unqualified Teacher, you will lead classes, deliver pre‑planned lessons, support pupil progress, and maintain a positive learning environment. We work with a range of primary schools, secondary schools, and specialist SEN settings, offering opportunities to suit a variety of experience and interests.
This role is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, tutors, sports coaches, graduates, and aspiring teachers looking to develop their classroom skills and build experience before pursuing teacher training.
The Role:
- Deliver pre‑planned lessons and learning activities
- Lead classes independently and maintain positive learning environments
- Support pupils to engage with learning and complete lesson tasks
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently
- Adapt support and teaching approaches to meet pupil needs
- Monitor engagement and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Promote a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
- Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Coach, or similar role desirable
- Confident managing groups of pupils independently
- Strong communication and classroom leadership skills
- Resilient, adaptable, and proactive approach
- Passionate about supporting young people and education
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Graduates and aspiring teachers encouraged to apply
Contract Details:
- Position: Unqualified Teacher
- Location: Winchester
- Start Date: ASAP
- Working Pattern: Full‑time
- Pay Rate: Up to £130 per day
- Key Stages: Primary, Secondary & SEN
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
- Previous classroom experience desirable
- Experience working with children or young people essential
- Safeguarding training can be provided
- Teacher training aspirations welcomed
