About the role  
Working Monday to Friday, 06:30–15:30, you'll be responsible for collecting and delivering a wide variety of goods across the local area. From vehicle parts and commercial supplies to furniture home deliveries, you'll play an important role in ensuring our customers receive their goods safely, professionally, and on time.

You will be responsible for:

• Completing collections and deliveries across Stornoway and surrounding areas

• Delivering a range of products including car parts, truck parts, furniture, and general freight

• Loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently

• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects

• Planning routes and managing delivery schedules to meet customer expectations

• Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records

• Providing a professional and friendly service at every customer interaction

About you  

You'll hold a valid driving licence and be confident driving a van in a safe and professional manner. Previous delivery driving experience is beneficial but not essential.

You'll thrive in this role if you're reliable, organised, and enjoy working independently. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential, as you'll be representing DFDS at customer premises throughout the day. A positive attitude, good timekeeping, and a willingness to help wherever needed will help you succeed in this varied and rewarding role.
