About the role
Working Monday to Friday, 07:00–17:00, you'll be responsible for the collection and delivery of goods across the local area and wider network. This is a varied role involving customer deliveries, collections, and occasional overtime to support our Dundee collection service.
You will be responsible for:
Collecting and delivering a range of freight, including boxes, pallets, and other general goods
Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
Planning routes and managing delivery schedules to ensure deadlines are met
Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate records
Providing a professional and friendly service to customers at collection and delivery points
Supporting additional collection work, including overtime on Wednesdays.
About you
You'll hold a valid driving licence and be confident driving a van in a safe and professional manner. Previous delivery driving experience is beneficial but not essential.
You'll thrive in this role if you're reliable, organised, and enjoy working independently. Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential, as you'll be representing DFDS at customer premises throughout the day. A positive attitude, good timekeeping, and a willingness to help wherever needed will help you succeed in this varied and rewarding role.
