Key Responsibilities

• Deliver small to medium-sized items to customers and businesses across designated routes.

• Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are protected from damage.

• Secure loads safely within the vehicle before departure.

• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and within agreed timeframes.

• Handle fragile or delicate items with care and attention.

• Complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures where required.

• Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.

• Maintain a clean, tidy and roadworthy vehicle.

• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers at delivery locations.

• Follow all relevant road safety, manual handling and health and safety procedures.

Essential Requirements

• A full, valid UK driving licence.

• Previous van driving or delivery experience is preferred.

• Good geographical knowledge and the ability to follow routes efficiently.

• A careful and responsible approach to handling goods.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Reliable, punctual and well organised.

• Physically capable of carrying out loading and unloading duties where required.

• A professional attitude and commitment to safe driving practices.
