Van Driver/Porter in Bradford, West Yorkshire

CareerMakers Recruitment is currently looking for a Van Driver / Porter on behalf of our ever-growing client based in Bradford, BD1

Duties Include:

• · Safely drive and manoeuvre company vans and light vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes, in line with UK road laws and company procedures.
• · Complete daily vehicle safety checks and promptly report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• · Safely load, secure, transport and unload furniture and equipment, using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment such as tail lifts.
• · Deliver, move and position furniture and equipment within customers' homes, facilities and client sites, ensuring items are handled with care.
• · Complete accurate delivery records, customer signoffs, vehicle checks and other required paperwork.
• · Represent the company professionally, communicating courteously with customers, site teams and other stakeholders throughout each delivery.

Requirements

• · A full and valid UK driving licence.
• · Willing to work overtime as required which will be paid as time and a half.
• · Physically fit, able to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely; training will be provided.
• · Superb customer service skills with a polite, professional and helpful manner.
• · Commitment to Health & Safety, adhering to company policies and promoting safe working practices
• · Reliable and punctual – a real team-player.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday, 6am - 2:45pm

Friday, 6am - 12pm
