Our client, a reputable family-run fleet workshop in Petersfield, is seeking an experienced Van Technician to join their busy team. This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for a skilled Van Technician with a focus on commercial vehicles. The role offers a dynamic working environment, competitive remuneration, and opportunities for professional development.

Benefits:
  • Salary ranging from £38,000 to £42,000, DOE
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm, with a half-hour lunch break
  • Overtime available on Saturdays by mutual agreement 
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

  • Workshop equipped with modern diagnostic tools and two vehicle ramps
  • Possibility to relocate your tools if required
Duties of a Van Technician:
  • Servicing and repairing transit-style vans up to 7.5 tonnes
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as brake, suspension, and general servicing
  • Undertaking more complex repairs, including engine removal and head work
  • Focusing on first-time fixes to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Operating specialist diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
  • Working independently on a variety of repair tasks
  • Maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all work undertaken
Requirements of a Van Technician:
  • Significant commercial vehicle experience is essential
  • Level 3 qualification preferred, but strong practical experience may be considered
  • Prior experience working on vans or similar commercial vehicles
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently on repair tasks
  • Proactive attitude with a focus on quality workmanship
  • MOT certification is not required
