Duties of a Van Technician:
  • Service, adjust and repair vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose faults and carry out testing using recognised procedures and equipment
  • Conduct inspections and identify defects or potential failures
  • Complete repairs, component replacements, and re-assemblies safely and efficiently
  • Road test vehicles when necessary to ensure repairs have been successful
  • Accurately document work carried out and advise on recharge costs
  • Observe health and safety standards during all work activities
Requirements of a Van Technician:
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Vehicle Mechanics
  • Proven experience working on light commercial vehicles or transit vans 
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Comprehensive toolkit for work on light commercials
  • Strong attention to detail and diagnostic ability
