- Prepare accurate vehicle damage assessments in accordance with insurer and customer requirements
- Liaise effectively with inspectors, customers, and insurers to obtain authorisation for repairs
- Manage parts orders, ensuring correct specifications, timely deliveries, and appropriate labelling
- Communicate repair estimates clearly to workshop staff to support efficient workflow
- Maintain detailed records of damage assessments and parts management for audit purposes
- Support the workshop on total loss vehicles and facilitate efficient repair planning as a Vehicle Damage Assessor
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and relevant industry regulations
- Perform additional duties as directed by management to optimise workshop efficiency
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor or in a similar estimating role within an accident repair environment
- Proven ability to complete damage estimates independently, adhering to industry standards
- Strong knowledge of insurer requirements, estimating systems such as Audatex or Autoflow, and repair procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Effective communication skills for liaising with insurers, bodyshop staff, and customers
- IMI Accreditation in Vehicle Damage Assessment is preferred but not essential
- Familiarity with parts verification, total loss procedures, and negotiation with insurers is advantageous
- Valid UK driving licence is essential
