About the Role

As a Vehicle Mechanic / Diagnostic Technician, you’ll play a key role in returning collision-damaged vehicles safely to manufacturer standards.


Your Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
  • Removing and refitting engines, gearboxes and drivetrain components.
  • Repairing steering, suspension and braking systems.
  • Carrying out wheel alignment and chassis geometry.
  • Completing ADAS and post-repair diagnostic procedures.
  • Working across petrol, diesel, hybrid and electric vehicles.
  • Completing quality inspections and road tests.
  • Following manufacturer repair methods and technical procedures.
  • Working with colleagues to achieve right-first-time repairs.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience as a Vehicle Mechanic, Technician, Diagnostic Technician or Master Technician.
  • IMI Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience with modern diagnostic equipment.
  • HEV qualification desirable, but not essential.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your workmanship.
