Vehicle Service Technician- Yorkshire Region

Elevation Recruitment Group's Engineering Services Division are supporting a long standing client with the expansion of their field based and customer-facing technical services team, with the recruitment of a Service Technician.

The Service Technician will operate remotely, travelling to customer sites based in the Yorkshire region.

The Service Technician role is focused on the servicing of aftertreatment systems and diagnosing vehicle faults, and is suited to a time served HGV/PSV or light vehicle Technician who has served as a Master Tech at a main dealer and has a proven track record of using diagnostic tools and other proven methods to diagnose the root cause of vehicle electrical faults. 

Key responsibilities for the Service Technician include:

• Installation (retro fitting), service, and maintenance of exhaust aftertreatment systems 
• Diagnosing vehicle faults
• Safe use of diagnostic equipment and software
• Producing written, concise field-based reports

Skills, Experience and Qualifications for the Service Technician role include:

• Qualified to City and Guilds 383 level 3 or equivalent in light or heavy vehicle repair and maintenance
• Full UK driving licence
• Computer literate with experience of using e-mail and Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel
• Must own standard automotive tools associated with the repair and maintenance of vehicles
• Excellent communication skills with proven ability in a face to face customer facing role
• Experience in the use of automotive vehicle diagnostic equipment
