We're recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic / Automotive Technician / MOT Tester to join a small, established independent workshop in Haslemere.

This is a genuine all-rounder position working on all makes and models of cars. You'll need a strong practical background and the confidence to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide variety of vehicles.

With a team of just two technicians, this is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands-on, taking ownership of their work and having plenty of variety throughout the day.

Salary & Benefits

• £35,000-£50,000 per year, depending on experience
• Monday-Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm
• 1-hour unpaid lunch break

The Role - Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

As a Vehicle Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Car Mechanic, you'll be responsible for a wide range of workshop duties, including:

• Vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
• Mechanical fault diagnosis
• MOT testing
• Servicing and routine vehicle maintenance
• General mechanical repairs
• Brake repairs and replacement
• Suspension repairs
• Steering and running gear
• Engine repairs and maintenance
• Clutch replacement and repairs
• Electrical fault finding
• Vehicle inspections
• Preventative maintenance
• Identifying faults and carrying out effective repairs
• Working on a wide variety of cars, makes and models

This isn't a specialist role where you'll spend your days working on the same vehicle or carrying out the same repair.

You need to be a genuine all-round Vehicle Technician with a broad range of hands-on mechanical experience.

You should be confident carrying out vehicle diagnostics, fault finding, servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs with minimal supervision.

An MOT Tester qualification would be highly advantageous.
