Vehicle Technician

We have partnered with a well-established and successful main dealership who are looking to strengthen their team with an experienced Vehicle Technician.

We are looking for a skilled, motivated and reliable Vehicle Technician who takes pride in their work and is looking to join a professional workshop environment with excellent training and genuine opportunities for progression.

• Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:30 (NO WEEKENDS)
• Basic salary of £40,000 DOE, with realist OTE of £50,000
• Up to £1,100 per month in combined individual and team bonus

Vehicle Technician Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards
• Diagnose faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
• Complete major repairs such as gearbox and engine removal, timing belts, suspension work etc
• Complete Electronic Vehicle Health Checks
• Identify and report additional work required
• Carry out vehicle inspections and road tests where required
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and efficiency
• Work closely with the wider Aftersales team
• Support apprentices and junior technicians where appropriate
• Keep up to date with manufacturer training and technical developments

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent
• Previous dealership or manufacturer experience preferred
• Diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Strong mechanical repair skills (experience with major repairs)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, professional and hardworking approach
