Salary: £36,000–£38,000, depending on shift pattern

Car Dealer Recruitment is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician with diagnostic experience to join a busy and established automotive workshop based in Croydon.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician who is confident carrying out servicing, mechanical repairs and basic diagnostic work across a range of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs
• Diagnosing basic electrical and mechanical faults
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues
• Completing brake, suspension, steering and general repair work
• Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying additional work required
• Accurately completing job cards and recording all work undertaken
• Working efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and professionally

Requirements

Applicants must:

• Have at least three years of hands-on experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
• Be capable of carrying out basic vehicle diagnostics
• Have their own tools
• Be confident working independently
• Have strong mechanical and fault-finding skills
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Take pride in delivering high-quality work

Relevant automotive qualifications are preferred, although applications from experienced technicians with a strong practical background will also be considered.
