Vehicle Technician

Seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join the companies maintenance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for vehicle repair and maintenance. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a wide range of vehicles to ensure safety, reliability, and optimal performance. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and diagnose faults accurately.
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine repairs, brake replacements, suspension work, and electrical diagnostics.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair procedures.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment to handle large or heavy vehicle parts safely.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and time taken for each service.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards to promote a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum IMI Level 2 or equivalent
- Must hold a full manual UK driving license
- Must have use of your own hand tools
- Previous experience of LGV desirable but not essential.
Please also note a DBS will be carried out as they are a CQC regulated company
The role is based out of the Thurrock HQ but will involve travel in and around London depending on workload.
There is currently a fleet of 105 Vehicles.
