The Role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a busy and successful Mercedes-Benz dealership in Stevenage. Working within a manufacturer-trained environment, you will be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to the highest standards while contributing to workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles.
  • Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete work efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  • Conduct vehicle health checks and identify additional repair opportunities.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the workshop and service teams to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

  • Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician, or Diagnostic Technician.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment.

Desirable

  • Mercedes-Benz experience.
  • Manufacturer accreditation or franchise dealership experience.
  • MOT Tester qualification.
  • Hybrid and EV qualification or experience.
