Our client, a reputable and rapidly expanding independent used car supermarket in Derby, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their modern, busy workshop. Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct routine servicing and preventative maintenance on a variety of vehicles
  • Diagnose faults accurately and perform effective repairs
  • Complete MOT tests where qualified and necessary as a Vehicle Technician
  • Carry out road tests and ramp inspections to ensure quality workmanship
  • Use approved methods and manufacturer standards to undertake repairs
  • Complete all job cards and workshop documentation accurately and promptly
  • Maintain high standards of work and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with colleagues to optimise workshop efficiency
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a workshop environment
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • MOT Licence would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Own tools
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a busy environment
