Our client, a family-run independent specialist garage with over four decades of experience, is recruiting a full-time Vehicle Technician to join an expanding workshop team in Middlewich, Cheshire. This Vehicle Technician role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles of all ages, including legacy and electric vehicles, alongside four experienced technicians.

Benefits of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Basic salary circa £40,000
  • Monday to Thursday working pattern: 8:30am to 5:30pm
  • Early finish on Fridays: 8:30am to 2:00pm (no weekends)
  • Training and progression, including EV/HV systems development and diagnostic training following successful probation
  • 20 days’ holiday plus Christmas shutdown

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Diagnose complex symptoms across the full range of vehicle systems
  • Manage workshop time effectively to support customer satisfaction
  • Use video vehicle health assessments to identify issues and support relevant upsell opportunities
  • Communicate progress clearly and keep customers updated as work proceeds
  • Maintain and improve technical skills through regular training, with a focus on electric vehicles
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to colleagues as required
  • Uphold high standards in a clean and secure workshop environment
  • Conduct MOT testing in line with DVSA standards if required
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in a similar role
  • Ideally qualified to Level 3
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong diagnostic capability and the ability to work confidently in a modern, specialist environment
