We are currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a reputable, family-run automotive service centre in Colchester, Essex.   • Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with weekends off

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to identify faults accurately
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using OE diagnostic equipment
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques efficiently
  • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for precise repairs
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed in accordance with company standards
  • Assist with vehicle assembly or disassembly during refurbishment projects
Requirements:
  • Full NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Vehicle Mechanics
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or MOT Technician
  • Strong diagnostic skills with great attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
  • Fully qualified with a commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship
