We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join a well-established dealership in Helston, Cornwall. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced motor trade professional to develop their career within a busy and reputable workshop environment. Our client is seeking a dedicated Vehicle Technician who is eager to progress and undertake manufacturer training to enhance their skill set.

  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with no automatic increases beyond this

  • Monday to Friday working hours, with one-in-three Saturdays (08:30 to 13:00)
Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and efficiency in line with dealership expectations
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within a busy workshop
  • Maintain accurate records of work and liaise effectively with team members and customers
  • Support the workshop to meet productivity and efficiency targets through effective time management
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold customer service standards
Requirements:
  • Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair qualification or equivalent; Level 2 individuals with extensive experience will also be considered
  • MOT Tester licence is desirable but not essential
  • Proven experience as a vehicle technician, preferably within a dealership setting
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills, with a focus on passenger vehicles
  • Good organisational skills and a professional attitude towards customer service and teamwork
  • Able to work Monday to Friday from 08:45 to 17:15 with a rotating Saturday shift
