We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable main dealer in Basingstoke, Hampshire, for a talented and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their busy workshop.

The successful individual will play a key role in delivering high standards of vehicle servicing and repair within a prestigious brand environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Technician looking to advance their career in a professional, manufacturer-backed setting.

Benefits of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Basic salary of £35,000 per annum, with additional bonus potential leading to approximately £40,000
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8am – 5.30pm
  • One Saturday morning shift in three, 8am – 1pm
  • Transition to Monday to Friday working hours only, from August 2026

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conducting vehicle service checks, repairs, and maintenance
  • Performing Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI)
  • Ensuring the maintenance of workshop professionalism and high-quality service standards
  • Adhering to company procedures and protocols
  • Contributing to the overall efficiency of the workshop
  • Additional ad hoc duties as required by the workshop management
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Automotive Service and Repair or equivalent qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • MOT Tester Licence preferred and advantageous
  • Experience working within a main dealer environment post-qualification
  • Knowledge of EV / Hybrid systems is desirable
  • Franchise experience would be beneficial
  • Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of workshop presentation and safety
  • Good communication skills and team player mentality
