We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an independent, award-winning family-owned car dealer group established across the Southwest and the Home Counties, for a Vehicle Technician in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced motor trade professional seeking to advance their career within a reputable dealership.

  • Working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:30am to 12:30pm, paid as overtime
Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on customer vehicles according to manufacturer standards
  • Accurately identify vehicle faults and report findings to the Workshop Controller
  • Ensure vehicle safety, reliability, and performance through precise repair and servicing work
  • Adhere strictly to quality, health and safety, and manufacturer procedures
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship in a busy dealership environment
  • Support team objectives and work towards individual and team targets
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Ideally, 1-2 years of practical workshop experience as a Vehicle Technician
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence
  • Motivated individual with a professional attitude and good team skills
  • Capable of producing high-quality work within a fast-paced environment
  • Individuals with an active MOT Smart Card will have an advantage, but it is not essential
