We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join our client’s reputable automotive service centre in Colchester, Essex. Vehicle Technician vacancy benefits include:
  • Competitive basic salary of £34,000 per annum, with uncapped earning potential including bonuses
  • Performance-based earning opportunities up to £6,780 OTE
  • Additional incentives through a £3,000 Productivity Bonus and a Time Saved Bonus Scheme
  • Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, with every 1 in 3 Saturdays (8:30am to 12:30pm) on a rota

Vehicle Technician duties will include:
  • Conducting pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles to ensure quality standards are met
  • Performing inspections and checks following manufacturer guidelines
  • Fitting additional accessories requested by customers accurately and professionally
  • Carrying out vehicle health checks and reporting any further work required
  • Performing basic diagnosis and minor repairs on mechanical and electrical systems
  • Servicing vehicles according to manufacturer instructions and customer requests
  • Handling warranty repairs in line with manufacturer protocols
  • Road testing vehicles to verify fault rectification before customer handover
  • Completing all relevant documentation accurately and to a professional standard
Vehicle Technician requirements:
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant motor industry experience, gained in dealer groups or independent garages
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and eager to develop new skills
  • Ability to work to high standards and deliver excellent customer service
  • Experience with diagnostics, MOTs, and electric vehicle work is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
