We are recruiting on behalf of a renowned main dealer in Bedford for the position of Vehicle Technician. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician seeking to enhance their career within a professional workshop environment. The successful individual will be a key part of a supportive team committed to delivering high standards of vehicle maintenance and customer satisfaction.

  • Basic salary up to £40,000, depending on experience
  • OTE of approximately £44,000
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am – 5:30pm

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct servicing, routine maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models
  • Perform diagnostic and fault-finding work with precision
  • Carry out MOT testing if qualified
  • Ensure all repairs and inspections are completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards
  • Adhere to health and safety procedures and manufacturer protocols
  • Work independently and collaboratively to meet workshop targets
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Own set of tools
  • Proven technical ability and keen attention to detail
  • Previous workshop experience in a similar role
  • MOT licence is advantageous but not essential
  • Strong diagnostic skills and a commitment to high-quality work
