Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Carry out routine servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles
  • Work on mechanical systems including suspension, brakes, steering, and exhausts
  • Perform diagnostic checks using electronic diagnostic tools
  • Service and repair hybrid and electric vehicles (training provided if required)
  • Fit manufacturer-approved accessories and upgrades
  • Complete job cards and service documentation accurately
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and collaborate effectively within the workshop team
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • MOT testing licence (desirable, but not essential)
  • Hybrid or EV qualification (advantageous but not essential; full training provided)
  • Proactive attitude with a focus on quality and efficiency
