A respected independent garage in Dereham, Norfolk, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for skilled motor trade Vehicle Technicians to work within a supportive environment, with potential for career growth and development.

Duties:
  • Conduct routine servicing and maintenance on a diverse range of vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults efficiently and accurately
  • Perform brake, suspension, and steering repairs
  • Conduct clutch replacements, timing belt changes, and prepare vehicles for MOT tests
  • Carry out vehicle inspections and fault finding
  • Complete trailer inspections and repairs
  • Maintain accurate job documentation and ensure a tidy workspace
  • Deliver excellent customer service with a friendly approach
Requirements for the Vehicle Technician role:
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in light vehicle maintenance or an equivalent qualification (City & Guilds, or time-served experience)
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
  • Valid full UK driving licence
  • Reliable, hardworking, and motivated
  • Strong diagnostic skills with practical problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team
  • Dedicated to high standards of workmanship
  • Enthusiastic about developing skills and progressing within the company
