We are representing a reputable independent garage in Portsmouth that is seeking a dedicated vehicle technician to join their team. The role of vehicle technician is pivotal to maintaining the high standards of service that the garage is known for. The vehicle technician will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, focusing on sales and warranty work, and will work closely with advanced diagnostic tools and modern workshop equipment.

Duties:
  • Conduct vehicle servicing and repairs to high standards efficiently
  • Diagnose faults accurately using modern scanning and diagnostic tools
  • Complete warranty and sales-related repairs as required
  • Maintain professionalism and uphold the reputation of the garage
  • Assist with team operations and support apprentice development
  • Ensure all work is completed within designated timeframes
Requirements:
  • Fully qualified or time-served to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in vehicle maintenance
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Proven experience as a vehicle technician, ideally within an independent garage setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and excellent customer service skills
  • Competence in using diagnostic equipment such as FordScan, Autel, Snap-On, and smoke testers
