We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vehicle Technician to join a dedicated warranty team in Castle Donington. This Vehicle Technician role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking a position that balances technical expertise with customer interaction. The successful individual will play a vital part in ensuring quick and efficient diagnosis, repair, and fault resolution, contributing to enhanced customer satisfaction.

  • Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, with an early finish on Friday at 5:00pm

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct diagnostics on customer vehicles to identify faults accurately and efficiently
  • Carry out road tests alongside customers to verify vehicle issues
  • Clearly communicate diagnostic findings and repair requirements to customers
  • Fit minor parts and trims as required to expedite the repair process
  • Perform minor repairs to facilitate swift vehicle turnaround
  • Maintain thorough records of diagnostics, repairs, and parts used
  • Work collaboratively with the warranty team to optimise workflow and customer service
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety and quality standards
  • Provide professional and courteous assistance to customers throughout the process
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a qualified Vehicle Technician
  • IMI Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience with modern diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A confident, professional, and customer-focused approach
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience in customer-facing, warranty, mobile, or roadside environments would be advantageous
  • Full UK driving license
