We are currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a reputable main dealership located in Bedford. The Vehicle Technician role features a competitive basic salary of up to £39,000, depending on experience, plus performance-based bonuses. The position involves working a 45-hour week with weekends on a rota, providing a structured work schedule. Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles to high standards
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Follow manufacturer repair procedures and technical guidelines
  • Assist in achieving workshop targets and maintaining high quality standards
  • Keep skills and knowledge up to date through manufacturer training
  • Conduct MOT tests (if qualified) and contribute to delivering outstanding customer service
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure departmental efficiency
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a main dealership or similar environment
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills with a track record of high-quality workmanship
  • MOT Licence desirable but not essential, ongoing training available
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for developing technical expertise and advancing your career
  • Experience across multiple automotive brands preferred
