We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician on behalf of our client, a prestigious franchise-approved car dealership located in Newport. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to develop their career within a renowned automotive business.

Working hours:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:00am to 1:00pm (paid as overtime)

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Perform fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards
  • Accurately identify faults and report vehicle conditions, safety, reliability, and performance issues to management
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and work quality procedures at all times
  • Work within a team to meet quality and efficiency targets
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and organise workload effectively
  • Adhere to franchise dealer procedures and manufacturer guidelines
  • Contribute to a positive working environment, supporting team members as needed
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Ideally based within a reasonable commute to Newport
  • Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership or franchise environment
  • Strong diagnostic skills and technical knowledge
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • A UK driving licence with minimal points is essential
  • Ability to work to high standards and deliver quality service consistently
