Our client, a reputable main dealer in Luton, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to work within a long-standing, family-run automotive business renowned for its commitment to quality service, technical excellence, and staff development.

Key Benefits of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Basic salary circa £35,000, negotiable based on experience
  • OTE £40,000
  • Working hours Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • 1 in 2 Saturday mornings, paid as overtime

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Carrying out servicing and routine vehicle maintenance
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
  • Using the latest diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately
  • Performing repairs on brakes, suspension, steering, and other mechanical components
  • Conducting vehicle inspections and safety checks
  • Identifying additional work and reporting findings effectively
  • Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer standards and specifications
  • Maintaining high standards of workmanship and productivity
  • Adhering to health and safety procedures
  • Collaborating effectively within a professional workshop team
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Qualified Vehicle Technician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a professional workshop environment
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic capabilities
  • Good understanding of modern vehicle technology
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team
  • Professional attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • MOT Tester qualification is advantageous but not essential
