We are currently seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician on behalf of a leading franchised dealership in Chester. This Vehicle Technician role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals to join a well-established Main Dealer group, recognised as one of the top motor vehicle retailers in the UK. Our client provides a supportive working environment for Vehicle Technicians, ongoing training, and career development prospects.

Benefits:
  • Basic salary up to £36,000, depending on qualifications and experience
  • Average bonus of £6,000 per year

  • Monday to Friday working hours (8:30am – 5:00pm)
  • One in two Saturday mornings (8:30am – 12:30pm)

Duties:
  • Perform vehicle servicing and maintenance in line with manufacturer standards
  • Manage time efficiently to ensure timely completion of work and customer satisfaction
  • Utilise video vehicle health assessments for diagnostics and upselling opportunities
  • Provide clear communication of work progress to customers and colleagues
  • Offer technical guidance and support to fellow team members
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and secure work bay, adhering to company and health & safety standards
  • Conduct MOT tests as required in accordance with DVSA standards
  • Support the team with technical training and upskilling, especially relating to electric vehicles
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within a franchised dealership or similar environment
  • Qualification to at least Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
  • Enthusiasm for ongoing technical development, particularly in electric vehicle technology
