We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Vehicle Technician in Preston. The Vehicle Technician role presents a valuable opportunity for experienced automotive professionals seeking a stable, full-time position within a well-equipped workshop environment. Duties of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Conducting vehicle servicing, oil changes, suspension repairs, exhaust replacements, and brake work
  • Performing engine repairs, turbo diagnostics, timing belt replacements, clutch work, and gearbox repairs
  • Completing accurate job cards and workshop documentation
  • Supporting MOT testing, subject to qualification, or assisting with MOT preparation
  • Managing a personal workload independently while contributing to team goals
  • Ensuring high standards of quality and safety across all mechanical repairs
Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Proven experience as a vehicle technician, with a solid understanding of mechanical repairs and diagnostics
  • Level 3 qualification is preferred; however, individuals with strong time-served garage experience and Level 2 or no formal qualification will also be considered
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Own tools are preferred; workshop tools are available
  • Reliable, practical, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Motivated to develop and grow within the automotive industry
