Vehicle Technician - Wanted - Immediate Start!

Leicester | Up to £52,000 per year (DOE)

Permanent, Full-Time

Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician looking to join a well-established and growing business with a fantastic working environment?

Regional Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading Midlands-based company operating within the construction and civil engineering sector. Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their friendly and supportive team, maintaining a fleet of company vehicles and equipment.

  • Monday to Friday working hours (7:00am - 4:00pm)

  Qualifications Essential:
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance
  • Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively within a team
Desirable:
  • Ford-trained or extensive experience working on Ford vehicles
  • Ford manufacturer qualifications
  • Experience working on light commercial vehicles
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferred but not essential)
  Roles & Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine servicing and scheduled vehicle maintenance
  • Replace cambelts and timing components
  • Perform general mechanical repairs
  • Complete fleet inspections and vehicle health checks
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
  • Carry out efficient fault finding and problem-solving
  • Complete MOT preparation work (MOT testing is not carried out in-house)
  • Repair brakes, suspension, steering and drivetrain components
  • Undertake clutch replacements where required
  • Ensure all work is completed to a consistently high standard
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures
  • Work closely with fellow technicians and support apprentices where required
  • Assist with breakdowns and urgent vehicle repairs when necessary
