My client are looking for a Workshop Technician / HGV Technician / PSV Technician for their Workshop at Heathrow Airport, they are also looking for an Electrical Technician / Auto Electrician / EV Technician to join the same site.

Salary of the PSV Technician / Technician / Vehicle Technician / HGV Technician / Workshop Technician / Coach Mechanic / LGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Auto Electrician / EV Technician / Diagnostic Technician:
£53,000.00 pa plus overtime
Hours of Work for the PSV Technician / Technician / Vehicle Technician / HGV Technician / Workshop Technician / Coach Mechanic / LGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Auto Electrician / EV Technician / Diagnostic Technician:
07:00am - 16:00pm OR 08:00am - 17:00pm, alternatively they have 4 on 4 off shifts consisting of 11 hours a day.

My client, who operate with the Airport, are seeking a high-calibre workshop technician with a passion to work on the large variety of vehicles to ensure they are carried out in a safe, compliant, efficient, cost-effective repair.
The maintenance of all equipment and vehicles is essential to achieve the highest levels of Customer Service in line with agreed contractual service level agreements.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibility for the PSV Technician / Technician / Vehicle Technician / HGV Technician / Workshop Technician / Coach Mechanic / LGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Auto Electrician / EV Technician / Diagnostic Technician:
▪ Responsible for completing all tasks allocated in an efficient and timely manner ensuring the workshop complete all planned or unplanned maintenance to achieve all KPI’s and SLA’s.
▪ Ensure all activities are completed to the highest safety standards
▪ To work in a team encouraging and maintaining the team approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a workshop culture conducive to achieving the highest standards of performance.
▪ Coach workshop colleagues in the areas of diagnosis, methods of repair, quality standards and job times and seek advice when required.
▪ Continuously working on opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing organisational problems and opportunities.
▪ Have a consistent approach and be focused on customer service, risk management, effective use of technology and consideration of limited resource management.
▪ Ensure the preventative maintenance schedules set out by the chargehand are met to ensure work is completed in a timely manner.
▪ Ensure the raise job cards are completed accurately, raising all defects and ordering parts through procurement process.
▪ Communicate proactively with all relevant parties managing their requirements and ensuring that we both meet and deliver on time.
▪ Not misuse any equipment that is provided for safety purposes.
▪ Ensure quality standards are met for every task undertaken.
▪ Ensure all equipment conforms to the appropriate regulation, for example: Employees working in a workshop environment need to ensure all of their equipment has been tested and approved by CES and has a CES label that is in date.
▪ To report accidents or potential accidents through the appropriate processes.
KEY COMPETANCIES for the PSV Technician / Technician / Vehicle Technician / HGV Technician / Workshop Technician / Coach Mechanic / LGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Auto Electrician / EV Technician / Diagnostic Technician:
▪ Previous experience within a similar environment for over 2 years, including experience on HGVs.
▪ Experience of working within the airport or transport industry
▪ Operational Decision-making.
▪ Customer Orientation. Considers different and novel ways to satisfy customers, anticipate their needs, and exceed their expectations.
▪ Cultural Insight. Demonstrates an understanding of the competitive global business environment and adapts their own style to work effectively with other cultures.
▪ Communicates with High Impact.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills for the PSV Technician / Technician / Vehicle Technician / HGV Technician / Workshop Technician / Coach Mechanic / LGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician / Auto Electrician / EV Technician / Diagnostic Technician
▪ Full UK Manual driving license and PCV License.
▪ Competent use of technology including MS Office suite, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
▪ Customer service experience
▪ City & Guilds Level 3 is essential.
▪ ISOH – Health & Safety.
▪ The selected candidate will be required to obtain a full Airside ID Pass at Heathrow.
