Looking for a good, experienced mechanic who just wants a decent place to work? We're recruiting for a well-established motor trade business in Halesowen with an excellent reputation, a pleasant working environment and very little staff turnover.
This is an opportunity to join a well-run workshop where people are trusted to get on with their jobs and take pride in what they do, without unnecessary corporate pressures.
We're looking for an experienced, all-round Vehicle Technician or Motor Mechanic who knows their way around a workshop, can work independently and is comfortable repairing and maintaining a variety of makes and models.
This could be an ideal opportunity for someone who has spent years in the trade and is now looking for a more straightforward, enjoyable working environment without unnecessary hassle.
What You'll Be Doing
- Servicing and maintaining a variety of vehicle makes and models.
- General mechanical repairs, including brakes, suspension and other mechanical components.
- Fault finding and vehicle diagnostics.
- More involved mechanical repairs as required.
- Working independently and taking responsibility for your own jobs.
- Maintaining good standards of workmanship.
- Solid, hands-on experience as a Vehicle Technician or Motor Mechanic.
- Good all-round mechanical knowledge.
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs independently.
- Experience working across different vehicle makes and models.
- Someone reliable, practical and comfortable getting on with the job.
- Your own hand tools.
Salary & Working Hours
- Basic salary up to £40,000, negotiable depending on experience and ability.
- Monday to Friday working week.
- One Saturday morning every three weeks paid as overtime.
- Small, fully equipped workshop.
