We are currently recruiting for a friendly, organised, and enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist / Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) to join a welcoming and supportive veterinary practice near Walton-on-Thames.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about animal care and enjoys delivering exceptional client service in a busy practice environment.

The Role

As a key member of the team, you will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter the practice. You will also assist the clinical team with day-to-day duties, helping to ensure the smooth running of the practice.

Responsibilities include:

• Welcoming clients and their pets into the practice
• Managing appointments and telephone enquiries
• Handling client payments and administrative tasks
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Supporting the veterinary team with patient care and handling
• Preparing consultation rooms and maintaining cleanliness throughout the practice
• Assisting with the day-to-day running of the hospital

About You

We would ideally like to hear from candidates who have previous experience working within the veterinary industry, either as a Veterinary Receptionist, Veterinary Care Assistant, Animal Care Assistant, or in a similar role.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous veterinary practice experience (preferred)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A caring and compassionate approach towards both clients and their pets
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work well within a team and independently when required
• A positive and proactive attitude
