To be responsible for delivering high quality video productions for internal and external clients to maximise income potential for the council, ensuring clients briefs are delivered on schedule and on budget and that the councils key cabinet priorities are met. To provide an income stream for the Council from high quality video production and to pitch for business opportunities to support this.

Responsible for filming and editing video productions suitable for a range of internal and external clients responding to briefs accordingly

To pitch to internal and external clients to secure projects that will maximise income potential for the Council and income targets are met To effectively manage video projects ensuring that the highest standard of video output is achieved across all platforms and to be the central point of contact for all video projects.

Quote fees for each video project ensuring the fees are competitive whilst acting in the best interest of the Council

Responsible for the reliability, consistency and quality content produced and that it is in accordance with council branding and Communications strategy

Responsible for the selection of appropriate video formats, locations and settings according to the desired

Ensure that projects are delivered on time and to agreed budget

To operate effectively under pressure, to forward plan and to effectively prioritise taking into account short and medium term goals and service demands

Responsible for filming and editing video projects for distribution to internal and external clients as well as for use on social media, the external website and intranet

Continually explore and implement new editing techniques and best practice to maximise efficiency

Assist in developing projects and programmes including cross borough partnership working as required

Carry out full financial administration including quoting, invoicing and the updating of income/financial ledgers as required

To collate full statistical data on all video projects

To be responsible for the preparation of reports in relation to video projects as required

Act as a representative and advocate for the Council’s Videography Unit and work with a range of partners to ensure that the Unit’s contribution both locally and regionally is maximised

Actively undertake industry research and training to ensure a professional and high quality service provision

To undertake all duties with due regard to the provisions of health and safety regulations and legislation, Data Protection/GDPR, the Council’s Equal Opportunities and Customer Care policies, and the New Technology agreement.

Carry out all tasks with due regard to health and safety requirements and regulations and the Council’s equal opportunities policy

Ensure all equipment is kept safely and securely whilst in possession and is returned to the safe location when not in use.
