Salary: £21,731–£24,195.50 per annum + £2,500 Bonus

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm

About the Role

New Chapter Tuition is recruiting a passionate and enthusiastic Vocational Instructor to join a specialist education provision in Docklands, supporting young people aged 11–19 who may have struggled to engage within mainstream education.

This is an exciting opportunity to deliver practical, hands-on Motor Vehicle Studies alongside Functional Skills Maths and English, helping young people develop confidence, independence and essential skills for their future.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Level 1 Motor Vehicle Studies sessions.

• Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English.

• Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs, including SEND and SEMH.

• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

• Monitor learner progress, engagement and achievement.

• Support young people in developing practical skills, confidence and employability.

• Maintain appropriate safeguarding, health and safety standards.

About You

• Experience within the motor vehicle industry, vocational training or education.

• Confidence supporting Maths and English at Functional Skills level.

• A patient, adaptable and relationship-led approach.

• Understanding of SEND, SEMH or Alternative Provision would be advantageous.

• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.

• A genuine passion for supporting young people who require an alternative approach to education.

A teaching qualification is not essential. Applications are welcomed from experienced motor vehicle professionals looking to transition into education.
