Volvo Loading Shovel Driver

As a Volvo Loading Shovel Driver, you'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently by safely moving logs, timber and materials throughout the sawmill and log yard.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Volvo Loading Shovel and associated plant equipment.
• Load, unload and transport logs, timber and by-products across the site.
• Maintain a consistent supply of materials to support production.
• Complete daily machine inspections and report any defects.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience operating a Volvo Loading Shovel or similar heavy plant machinery.
• A valid Loading Shovel or Plant Operator ticket (or equivalent).
• Experience within a sawmill, forestry, quarry, recycling, construction or other heavy industrial environment.
• A strong awareness of health and safety.
• Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Experience operating other plant machinery such as forklifts, telehandlers or tractors would be advantageous but isn't essential.
