We are looking for enthusiastic, professional, and customer-focused Waiters and Waitresses to join the Food & Beverage team at our luxury 5-star hotel in Seaham, County Durham.As a member of our restaurant team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences, ensuring every guest receives attentive, personalised service in keeping with the high standards of a luxury hospitality environment.Whether serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner or private events, you will play an important role in creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Serve food and drinks to the highest standards of presentation and service.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of menus, ingredients, allergens, wine and beverage offerings.
  • Provide recommendations to guests and answer menu-related questions confidently.
  • Prepare and maintain restaurant tables to luxury standards before, during and after service.
  • Ensure all guest requests are dealt with promptly and professionally.
  • Process bills and payments accurately using the hotel's point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety throughout all service areas.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Assist with private dining, weddings, conferences and special events as required.
  • Always represent the hotel with professionalism, courtesy and attention to detail.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant or customer service is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Smart, professional appearance with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to support colleagues.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest service standards.
