Sue’s communication is supported using Picture Cards and some Makaton signs. Sue has a Learning Disability and epilepsy and enjoys an active, varied life. She is supported by a strong multidisciplinary team including Physio, Behaviour Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Occupational Therapy, with excellent training and guidance provided to her support team.

The role also includes supporting good sleep hygiene and routines, assisting with personal care as needed, manual handling support (including verbal prompts and light touch guidance), and support with eating and drinking where required, including light food and drink preparation. You will also administer medication as required, complete light household tasks, maintain accurate daily records, and provide a clear handover to daytime staff.
