The provision focusses on developing communication, independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing alongside academic progress.About the PupilsYou could be supporting children with:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Sensory processing needs
  • Communication and interaction difficulties

Every child is unique, and the school is looking for staff who can take the time to understand individual needs and help pupils thrive.Your ResponsibilitiesAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Help children engage with learning activities
  • Encourage positive social interactions and friendships
  • Support behaviour regulation and emotional development
  • Adapt resources and activities to suit individual needs
  • Work closely with teachers, the SEND team and outside agencies
  • Promote independence and self-confidence

We Would Love to Hear From You If You Have:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
  • A calm, compassionate and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting SEND pupils
