Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Pay: £13.83 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm 40h/week paid

Location: On-site

We are currently seeking an Administrator to join a busy Distribution Centre (DC) and support the smooth running of both the Warehouse and Transport departments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, communicating with branches, customers, suppliers and internal teams, and ensuring queries and issues are dealt with efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly to branch enquiries by phone and email.

Communicate with customers and relevant internal teams to resolve queries.

Follow up on overnight Transport deliveries.

Escalate branch concerns to the appropriate Warehouse or Transport teams.

Investigate and resolve Stock Transfer Order (STO) discrepancies between branches.

Maintain clear and professional communication with customers and colleagues.

Warehouse Administration

Check inbound paperwork against the relevant Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs).

Deal with supplier queries by liaising with Inventory Managers and site contacts.

Schedule and manage supplier driver appointments.

Investigate delivery discrepancies and ensure they are resolved promptly.

Arrange replacement pump trucks for DC vehicles.

Manage internal RF kit replacements.

Raise purchase orders, including stationery and other supplies.

Transport Administration

Identify and suggest improvements to enhance customer service.

Manage uniform orders for Transport and Warehouse teams.

Monitor transport drivers' online training requirements.

Monitor Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) expiry dates.

Coordinate training and development plans for Transport colleagues.

DC Cleanse Compliance

Process stock collection requests.

Communicate relevant collection details to branches.

Ensure requests are followed up and completed efficiently.

Warehouse Operative experience

Strong customer service skills.

Strong numeracy and literacy skills.

Good organisational and administrative skills.

Ability to communicate professionally by phone and email.

Previous administration, customer service, logistics or warehouse experience would be beneficial.
