Warehouse Controller (12 Month Fixed-Term Contract)

Location: Banbury, Oxfordshire
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 pro rata
Working Pattern: Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in the office)
Contract: 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Warehouse Controller to join a well-established and growing organisation within a busy Supply Chain function.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or supply chain coordination who enjoys working closely with third-party logistics providers, managing operational performance, and driving process improvements.

You'll play a key role in ensuring warehouse operations run efficiently, inventory is accurately managed, and internal stakeholders receive the information and support they need to keep the business moving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with third-party logistics providers (3PLs)

  • Act as the main point of contact for warehouse operations across the business

  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implement corrective actions

  • Review inbound and outbound warehouse forecasts

  • Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, and warehouse performance

  • Ensure accurate data management within SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

  • Generate and distribute operational reports and KPI information

  • Support inventory accuracy and stock reconciliation activities

  • Monitor outbound deliveries and transport performance

  • Maintain export documentation and shipping records

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

  • Support continuous improvement projects and wider Supply Chain initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • At least 3 years' experience in a warehouse, logistics, inventory, or supply chain position

  • Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs)

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure

Desirable Experience

  • FMCG industry experience

  • Experience across broader Supply Chain functions

  • Knowledge of production planning systems such as OMP
