Blue Arrow is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing client for Manufacturing Support Operatives with a valid Counterbalance FLT licence. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established site offering regular overtime, shift allowances and long-term career prospects. Shift Pattern

You will work a rotating shift pattern:

  • 2 weeks: Monday-Friday, 06:00-14:00
  • 2 weeks: Monday-Friday, 14:00-22:00
  • 2 weeks: Monday-Thursday, 22:00-06:00

The night shift operates over four nights, with employees paid for five, providing an additional shift allowance benefit. Overtime is available and paid at enhanced rates.

The Role

This is a predominantly FLT-based position with some manufacturing support duties. Responsibilities include:

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
  • Transporting raw materials, pallets, drums and IBC containers around site
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Supporting production areas with materials replenishment
  • Carrying out daily FLT safety checks
  • Managing waste and housekeeping activities
  • Operating industrial washing equipment for manufacturing utensils
  • Ensuring high standards of health, safety and GMP compliance
  • Maintaining clean and organised working areas at all times

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Valid Counterbalance FLT licence
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management skills
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
  • Flexible approach to work and shifts

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or GMP
