Warehouse Hygienist
DFDS
Do you want to be a valued part of the critical infrastructure that serves communities across Europe and beyond? Are you looking for a position in which you can set direction and help shape our company? If so, then you could be the newest addition to our team as Warehouse Hygienist.
Be part of the movement – and play your part.
About the role
Working weekends from 06:30–14:30, you'll play an important role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the warehouse and yard. You'll help ensure the site remains safe, tidy, and operationally ready while supporting the wider team through general maintenance and housekeeping activities.
You will be responsible for:
Carrying out general cleaning duties across warehouse, yard, and welfare areas
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the site
Supporting general site maintenance activities where required
Operating MHE equipment safely where appropriately trained and authorised
Following all cleaning schedules, work instructions, and company procedures
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety requirements at all times
Reporting any maintenance, cleanliness, or safety concerns to management
About you
You'll be able to read, understand, and follow work instructions and procedures while maintaining a strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements. Previous experience in a warehouse, hygiene, cleaning, or industrial environment would be beneficial, and any MHE licences would be an advantage.
You'll thrive in this role if you're reliable, task‑focused, and take pride in your work. You'll be comfortable working in a fast‑paced, busy warehouse environment and capable of working independently while supporting the wider team. Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a collaborative approach are important, as you'll be joining a friendly and helpful workforce where respect, teamwork, and high standards are valued.
We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join.
